LO2: Mind Map/ synopsis generating individual IDEA

Documentary Ideas

 This is our group mind map, these are the different ideas we generated together, we individually also looked at the Pros and Cons of the idea. This allowed me to have a clear identification of what each of our ideas consisted of. 

As a group we produced our idea, this is my Idea: Strict/ Freedom in Schools Within our group we started generating our ideas for our Factual Programming, I started by looking into the issues of school and decided to look at Schools and their Rules. This allowed to identify how strict Sidney Stringer Academy is. 

I looked at the following aspects this being: 

• Are individuals being disciplined by the use of strict rules and no access in leaving the building during lunch and break in 16+?

• Expert Witness: Teachers, Mrs Tomes 

• Student perspectives 

• Look at other Schools as a comparison and how they are, this allows a better understanding of what Sidney operate and which is more successful and beneficial

• I will look at Behaviour Management techniques used in classrooms, 

• Archive Footage of children being taught in classroom 

• Statistics on successful schools in Coventry 

• Ofsted reports and Comments 

For my ideas these were the aspects that I would look into for the support of my documentary idea, I also decided to look at the advantages and disadvantages of this option. This being if we decided to take this further on.
